Year One Sports Afternoon

Every 2nd Friday we have Year One sports afternoon.  Last week Room 5 went with Miss Stonestreet to play Bean Bag Freeze and then we went to Mrs Paxie to play overs and unders.

Our Finished Cat in the Hats

We have finished our very own Cat in the Hat art projects.
First, we made out hats by ripping up red paper and gluing it onto a hat outline.

Then, we glued our own pictures and finally we made our own bows.

Developmental Afternoon with Room 2

Today we worked with Room 2 and Miss Best.  Half of our class went to do scooters with Miss Best and the other half and half of Miss Best's class, worked with Miss Stonestreet.

Miss Stonestreet's group practised drawing shapes and then creating our very own shape SNAILS!
They look sooo cool.  Maths and Art go well together!

Letter N Song

This week for handwriting we are looking at the Letter N n.  You can practise the song and how to write the letters at home too!

On Wednesday as part of celebrating Dr Seuss's birthday, we made Cat in the Hat biscuits using icing, marshmallows and chocolate chip cookies. YUMMO! After we ate them, we wrote about what we did and how we made them. Cat in the Hat biscuits on PhotoPeach

Year 1 Sports Afternoon

On Friday all the Year One children came out for our sports afternoon.  Every fortnight we will be doing this.  We got to do 3 different activities with different teachers from Year One.

We had so much fun!
