Lorax Big Book - Part 1

On Monday, Room 5 lead the whole school assembly.  One of our items was sharing the big book that we made during Dr Seuss week.
First, the children created their own pictures using Kidpix, then we added our voices using the easi-speak microphones and finally Miss Stonestreet added them all together using imovie.

Music lessons with Mrs Corke

Last Friday, Room 5 went to have a special music lesson with Mrs Corke.

We went to the music room and practised clapping the beat.

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

 Room 5 are leading the whole school assembly on Monday the 18th of March at 1.20pm.
We would love for you to come and watch us, please be seated by 1.10pm in the school hall. We are going to share our Lorax book and do a dance for you.

Also, the children are allowed to wear their home clothes on Monday to school.
I hope to see you at school tomorrow.

Cat in the Hat biscuits

Today we read "The Cat in the Hat", then we described what the cat looks like and we were lucky enough to make cat in the hat biscuits using marshmallows and mini chocolate chip cookies.

Fox in Socks Maths

Today we measured our feet after we read Fox in Socks.

We used different classroom objects like paper clips, cubes and crayons to find out the longest and shortest feet in Room 5.

Letter A week

Last week we were looking at the Letter A !
On Friday we made Letter A Man ( our letter super hero) and got to eat yummy apples.
