Poem Winners

This week is Book Week.  Yesterday some children went to the library to recite some poems.

Miss Reid choose 6 winners from across the school.

Caleb and Ishanvi were chosen as winners!!!!  They received some awesome new books!

Our Assembly

On the last Monday of term, it was Room 5's chance to lead the whole school assembly.

We shared our learning about Samoa and then we did a samoan dance.

Pasifika Showcase on Friday

On Friday we held our Pasifika Showcase.  The Kea Team have been learning about Samoa.  Here we are doing our first dance "Samoan Words".

Thank you so much to all the parents and caregivers, aunties and uncles, grandma's and grandpa's that came to watch.

Upcoming Events

Dear Mums and Dad,

This Friday 19th October is our Pasifika Showcase morning in the hall.  The Kea Team have been learning about Samoa and we would love to share our songs and dance with you.  Then you can stay at school to share morning tea with your kids!  :)

Please come to the Hall on Friday morning at 9am to get a good seat.

Then, on Monday 22nd, Room 5 are leading the whole school assembly.   The children can come to school in their mufti clothes on Monday.  You can come and watch us in the hall at 1.00pm.  Here we will be doing a samoan dance and sharing our learning.

Daffodil Day Hats

On Friday we made daffodil day hats for the Kea Team Parade on Friday afternoon.  Check out our cool hats.  Then we went for a cross country run around our field with the other Year 1s.
