Fireman Matt came to talk to us about how to be Firewise!

We do not play with lighters or candles!

We watched a dvd on Fire Safety.

We practiced what to do in a fire.

GET DOWN, GET LOW and GET OUT FAST!

Sh Sh Sh Sharks!!!!!

We have been learning what sound Sh makes.

We brainstormed all the words we could think of that had that sound either at the beginning, in the middle or at the end.  

Then we made some sharks!

People Who Help us in our Community

This term we have been learning about the different people who help us in our community.

We had a visit from St Johns, our local Policeman and some Firemen.  We learnt about what these people do to help us.

Our Shared Book this week was called Meanies.

Meanies do horrible and gross things!

Fiji

This term we have been learning about Fiji.

We painted the coconut tree and sky and used collage for the grass.
