David goes to School

We read a story about a young boy called David who is heading off to school for the first time.  David's teacher has her hands full with Davids high energy antics!  It can be hard to do the right thing when you are a kid and he has to learn the school rules just like we do! 

We made a picture of David and wrote down some rules that he needs to learn.

Letter Sounds

We are using our alphabet card in class to help us with our letter sounds and basic sight words.

Writing

We have been learning to write or copy a sentence about what we did in the weekend.  We publish a piece of writing every week and display it on our publishing wall.

Phonics Song

We have been learning our letter sounds.  We practice this song each day!

Buddy Class

We met our buddy class for the first time this week.  Our buddy class is Room 32, a year 6 class with Mrs Sauni as their teacher.

Today Room 32 came over to our classroom and we introduced ourselves to each other.  Then we had some time to play and get to know each other a little better.  We had so much fun!
